While we sometimes get tired of the same old styles…Australian eyewear brand Colab has teamed up with several mixed-media artists to solve this problem. They’ve created truly original shades only 1,000 of each style produced, so your chance of running into another pair on the streets will be rare.

Karl L has done it again. Being one of the last flamboyant fashion icons, the designer of Chanel, Fendi and his own Karl Lagerfeld collections has been immortalized in a video game, as a lead figurine, a plastic toy and now a lovable Teddy Bear. That’s right a Teddy Bear.
The chic fashion designer teamed up with famous German stuffed animal maker Margarete Steiff for their 125 Anniversary to design and manufacture the stylish stuffed animal. They were produced in a limited run of 2,500. Dubbed the “Karl Bear;” The fashion forward “Karl Bear” features Lagerfeld’s trademark style standing 15 inches tall made of white alpaca wool, wearing black aviator sunglasses, lacquered jeans, a high shirt collar, and a jewel-encrusted KL belt buckle. The “Karl Bear” is available at Neiman Marcus in the US and were released on September 8th. at the NYC store for $1500 a pop and are also available at Colette for $2080.

About a week ago at the CEATEC Show in Japan, Fujitsu presented a new concept phone that had everybody talking. The concept born from a research partnership between Fujitsu and Docomo. Here is a little bit of info on what the phone concept is all about. It’s the ultimate phone with multiple split personalities, one minute it’s a slider, the next it’s a flip, or maybe a swivel or even go two completely different ways. This concept combines usability with versatility in a way thats has never been done before. The view screen and keypad touchscreen can be used separately or stuck together by magnets, and where you stick the screen on the keypad determines what and how the touchscreen shows. The view screen module can operate alone because it contains software that allows it process video recording and games functions. keyboard module handles all communication functions, such as 3G and radio. I have no idea of when this phone is going to come out or if it’s even going to go into mass production but, the design and concept is one of the best i’ve heard in a long time. Fujitsu could take over the market with this one.

The house is so lovely and gorgeous, in fact, that Karl Lagerfeld apparently isn’t satisfied with just one, and so had its façade recreated inside the Grand Palais as the set for the glorious Chanel show he presented on Friday morning. This was Lagerfeld at his savvy best, on one hand lavishing the clothes with ample decoration as if heralding that tough times aside, his ladies have nothing to worry about. And he still infused the lineup with youthful charm, pinned largely on liberal doses of pink. Suits came in every conceivable variation: with jackets long and lean, full and swingy or cropped into tiny boleros. Dresses ranged from a classic shift to short, saucy knit numbers, and Lagerfeld gave a nod or two to the sportswear set with racy black pants looks.
