The Alexander MqQueen Collection, Dubbed ” Mc Q” hit Target yesterday. They didn’t make too much of a big deal about it at any of the actual retail locations. There’s not much attention grabbing signage or outstanding displays. You kinda have to know it’s there. I would think after doing cool elaborate promotion during New York fashion week that they would do some kind of in-store promotion or event. I guess not?
Well the spring 2009 deigns in available at target stores nation wide. With the economy the way it is this is a great outlet for the financially challenged fashionista. The pieces range from clubby chic to business casual and are of above average quality and cool modern designs and prints. The prices range from 19.99 tanks and t-shirts, to the 139.99 studded Lambskin Leather vest.

The ” Mc Q” collection fit is based on junior sizing. Tops are XS, S, M, L and XL. Bottoms are in odd numbers from size 1 through 13.

The zigzag print tee ($19.99) comes in the distinctive zigzag print in fuschia and black with a tiger’s face on the bottom front right.
The Liela print tee ($22.99) features an image of the line’s muse, Liela Moss of the band The Duke Spirit.

This is for the true Chanel enthusiast. That right, it is what you think it is, a Segway. Yes the thing that mall cops and nerdy tourist ride around on. I guess Karl Largerfeld doesn’t believe in recessions. This Chanel Segway comes complete with the classic 2.55 handbag adapted fit the handlebars and matching black quilted-leather mud flaps and handlebar grips. I love the rims with the Chanel logo in the center. The top speed is about 12mph. But, it’s not about the speed it’s about the style. I wonder if we will see a gang of trophy wives on Rodeo drive cruising form shop to shop. I wonder where the Valet will park it? Ever since introducing the iconic “Le Smoking Suit” in the 1960s, YSL has always pushed and stretched the boundaries of traditional gender paradigms in fashion and style. As the first couture label to introduce a luxury prêt-à-porter range to its repertoire, YSL is now raising the bar with Stefano Pilati’s “Edition Unisex”. Getting it’s inspiration from Pilati’s S/S 09 menswear collection, the “Edition Unisex” is based on a largely masculine silhouette as blazers, trenches and pants take on menswear proportions and cuts. In celebration of this new collection, YSL opened a pop-up store on 55 Great Jones St. downtown Manhattan during fashion week last month. The white space pop-up store was filled with racks and tables of beautiful lightweight luxe-casual goods perfect for a jaunt off to some warm, faraway destination. The store featured a selection of silk paperbag-waist trousers, organza trenches and cotton jersey tanks.
YSL’s “Edition Unisex” will also be available in Milan at the Via Montenapoleone flagship store from the 25th of February until the 4th of March before moving on to the Faubourg St Honore store in Paris from the 5th to the 12th of March.

In the interview Gwyneth is getting at the critics of her universially-panned lifestyle blog, Goop, in the March 2009 issue of British Elle.
“Fuck the haters! I saw this blog of people writing horrible things about me and for a second your ego is so wounded,” the 36-year-old says in Elle’s annual fashion Issue.
“How could people hate me, my intentions or what I’m trying to do? I’m a good person and I’m trying to put good things into the world.”
“I’m probably less square than people think. I never get drunk to the point of throwing up. But I get very talkative,” she revealed.
She also shed light on her relationship with husband Chris Martin – and why they are never pictured together.
