McQ Alexander McQueen for Target

Good news for many fashionistas!! Alexander McQueen would be designing a special collection for Target. According to WWD, Target is indeed launching a new line initiative entitled Designer Collaborations in March 2009. The program is said to bring the styles of well-established designers to the masses at Target’s low prices. This is a different program from Target’s Go International, which focuses on young and emerging designers.

Gucci’s 4th Annual UNICEF Campaign

Gucci will be launching a special white version of its Tattoo Heart Collection for Gucci’s 4th annual campaign to benefit UNICEF. This collection will all feature a tattoo-style heart motif and from which 25% of sales will be donated to the organization that fights for children’s rights globally. The collection will launch in Gucci stores in over 20 countries and will begin Nove. 19 through Jan 31, 2009.

Tom Ford Turns Hollywood Film Director

Tom Ford, who largely left the fashion world behind to try his hand in Hollywood, announced his first deal to direct a film called “A Single Man” starring Colin Firth, Julianne Moore and Matthew Goode. He has started filming in Los Angeles already.

Usher goes with DSQUARED2

Dean and Dan Caten, Canadian born twins and designers of DSQUARED2 lifestyle fashion brand, have recently partnered with Usher for his “One Nigh Stand” ladies only concert tour, which has started in Atlantic city on Nov. 2. The designers have selected a various looks to reflect a sexy and sophistcated DSQUARED2 style for Usher. Here are the designer sketches.

Here are Hermès kicks! Well I”m pretty sure that these shoes probably cost more than half of a Foot Locker stock room at the very shocking price of $7,600 but wonder if they are worth it…The leather is of course fine but people would notice these are pricey shoes from Hermès??

BPMp3 Battle - Los Angeles

This will be a battle between LA’s elite promoters, retail brands, record labels, DJs, bands and more. Each team will face off, two at a time, armed with only their trusty mp3 player and a killer playlist sparring song for song in an attempt to win over the crowd. By the end of the night only one team will be left standing.

Wednesday October 29 at The Viper Room (8852 Sunset). Doors are at 10 and the battle will start promptly at 10:30 so DO NOT be late. Obviously room is extremely limited.
